We all love those timeless, nostalgic Christmas releases. Every year, we get them out, dust them off (or move them up the iPod playlist!) and give them a spin. These days, there's a new favorite often sitting right next to Bing, Dean, Burl, Celine and Groban--David Phelps' stellar Joy, Joy (Gaither Gospel Series).
Recorded with The Millar Brass Ensemble, Phelps' spine-tingling interpretations of household holiday standards bring the season to life. From the dramatic strains of "Mary, Did You Know?" to the jubilant arrangement of "Joy to the World," Phelps shares the mystery and promise of Christmas with seemingly endless vocal strength and fervor, creating a modern-day Christmas classic!
David Phelps is blessed with a vocal instrument unlike any other. The multi-platinum artist first entered the national spotlight when he joined the Gaither Vocal Band and has since performed at Carnegie Hall, the White House and many other halls and churches around the world. Phelps has won two GRAMMY Awards and four GMA DOVE Awards. His latest work, Freedom, showcases his talents as a singer, songwriter, arranger and producer. Phelps lives outside of Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife Lori and their four children.
